Course Description

Have you always wanted to play the guitar?
This 10-week course will provide you the foundation you need to start playing! Students will learn the parts of the guitar, the names of the strings, tuning, and strumming/picking techniques. The class explores the basics of music theory through music notation, notes in first position, chords, rhythms, and songs.

Students must provide their own acoustic guitar.

The instructor will provide information on how to order the class book on the first day of class (approximate cost of the book is $10).
